Poem: Where It Began

Down at the pier,

with my sundress on,

you took my hand a million ways,

all feelings of failing were now gone.

We danced underneath the moonlight,

we thought deep in the sand,

for one to know what love is,

just go back to where it began.

The sun did rise over and over,

the birds sweetly sang a happy tune,

we became closer as the flowers grew up,

in this time that we call June.

We were slowly fading,

August crept up fast and

for one to know what love is,

just go back to where it began.

Summer love is all we were,

what a shame truth can be,

you were everything I wanted,

you were everything to me.

We will never forget the time we had,

friends forever was the plan,

for one to know what love is,

just go back to where it began.

Thanks for reading.
